Rip City Returns to Silver Hill Studio This Weekend
Get ready, Charleston — Rip City CHS is back at Silver Hill Studio this weekend, and it’s bringing another round of wild, weird, and wonderfully funny performances.
If you’ve never been, Rip City CHS is a monthly live comedy and variety show created by the brilliant (and slightly unhinged) duo Nameless Numberhead — Henry Riggs and Maari Suorsa. Every month they gather a mix of comedians, musicians, and performers to share brand-new work for the very first time. Nothing’s been tested. Nothing’s been done before. It’s all live, raw, and totally unpredictable — which is exactly what makes it so much fun.

What to Expect
Rip City isn’t your average comedy night. You might see stand-up. You might see a musical number, a strange character, or a moment that makes you wonder what you just witnessed (in the best way possible). The only guarantee: you’ll laugh, probably a lot.
Each show features a rotating lineup of local and regional performers trying out new ideas in front of a packed crowd that’s always up for a good time. It’s fast-paced, chaotic, creative, and full of heart — exactly what makes Charleston’s comedy scene so special.
Why We Love Hosting It
We started hosting Rip City CHS because it perfectly fits the spirit of Silver Hill — creative people taking big swings, experimenting, and making something unforgettable together. Every show transforms the studio into a buzzing little comedy club where the unexpected always happens.
Come Join the Chaos
If you love local art, good laughs, and a night that feels a little different every time, come hang with us. Bring a friend (or a few), grab a seat, and get ready for a show that’s part comedy, part theater, and all fun.
